What you see

Given enough information, BadPlastic creates a timeline-style graph for each of your credit cards that shows statements as graph points, depending on the balance and card limit. Each timeline will continue for as long as there is statement data available.

BadPlastic approximates the missing balances, as well as balances between statements. It does that very roughly, for display purposes only. You should not rely on the approximated balance amounts being accurate.

What BadPlastic needs

In order to see card timeline graph and up-to-date card figures, you need to provide certain data about the card's statements. When you receive a paper or electronic statement for your card, you need to enter the statement balance, the current card limit, the minimum payment, and the current percentage rate (monthly or annual) into BadPlastic to see the overall debt picture updated with new information.

You can enter statements in any order and leave gaps between statements. BadPlastic will approximate the missing balances. You can always enter the missing statements later.
